Dinners in chapters: India, behind closed doors, in my own home

After years of masterclasses, I’m opening the doors of my own home. Casa Anjalina is a dinner behind closed doors in Premià de Dalt, twenty-five minutes from Barcelona: ten seats, one long table, and a set menu of six courses that is never repeated.

Every dinner is a chapter, and every chapter travels to a different region of India. Recipes from home kitchens, from my family and from my books, cooked with the best produce the Maresme has to offer. Nothing toned down, nothing adapted.

And as in all my classes, there’s cooking here too: at some point in the evening you’ll find yourself with your hands in a dish, learning to put it together with me and understanding why one spice goes in before another.

The wines come from Art Laieta in Alella, chosen one by one so that every glass speaks to its dish. I light the candles at seven, and after that nobody looks at the clock.
